Despite a nervous start, the senior team found their rhythm and defeated five teams to book their place in the semi-finals against a promising Tandridge team; however, our players were able to edge out their opponents in four of the games to win 4-1 and earned their place in the final against the Surrey Heath team; who was looking strong throughout the day.
Our players could not wait to go back on court and their enthusiasm saw them edging out the other side one game after another to set up a perfect win of 5-0 in the final.

A massive well done to Jonathan Bruce, Sophie Walton, Katherine Raftis, Matt Rankin, Tess Glynne-Jones, Daniel Ombelet, Hannah Warner-Edney, Guy Taylor and Isabelle Noakes. The team was led by Patrick Maher Sr and assisted by Pat Maher Jr, Nick Weinstein and Kevin Noakes.

On the other side of the hall, the Junior team was lead by Lesley Ip and assisted by Josh Loftus. We have a very talented team with players full of potentials, however the majority of the players were very young still in Year 5 so the lack of experience resulted us dropping the first match. Our players then quickly settled down and won the other matches in our group; however, despite only dropping one match, we did not have enough points to go through to the medals stage. In the play off stage, all players improved throughout the day winning two out of their three remaining matches to earn a well respected fifth overall position. Since most of the team players are in Year 5, they will have more experience next year to challenge all the other Borough teams!

A big well done to Archie Trevor, Anna Pallaci, Bagio Matthew, Anya Panose, Adam Mote, Mary Hallett, Tom Allen and Lucinda Simpson.
